NuCompass is built on

With each other. With our clients. With every supplier in our network.

What a Relocation Management Company Does

At its core, a Relocation Management Company (RMC) helps organizations move their people from Point A to Point B, but the good ones? They make it feel less like a hassle and more like a high-five moment. From policy consulting and supplier coordination to expense tracking and employee support, RMCs handle all the behind-the-scenes chaos that comes with domestic and global moves. Think of us as the logistics brains, emotional support squad, and cost-containment pros rolled into one.

NuCompass takes it a step further. We don’t just manage moves, we modernize them with smarter tech, faster response times, and people who actually give a damn. Whether you’ve got a full-service policy, a lump sum program, or something in between, we make sure your employees feel supported and your business gets results. Relocation is complicated. We make it make sense.

Dave Marron

Dave Marron

CEO & Owner

Dave Marron

Dave is CEO and co-owner of NuCompass, and his leadership philosophy is refreshingly simple: “Show up. Be on time. Tell the truth. Follow the rules and everything else will work itself out!”

With nearly two decades of mobility experience and a background spanning financial services, real estate, and entrepreneurship, Dave’s role is straightforward by design. He makes decisions and helps others make better ones. His expertise sits at the intersection of financial management, people leadership, and business strategy, with a steady hand that keeps the company moving forward even when things get chaotic.

Dave is known as the calm within the calamity. No matter what is happening around him, he stays level, focused, and solutions-oriented, even if there is a little internal hair-pulling happening behind the scenes. Clients and teammates trust him because he does not overreact, overpromise, or overcomplicate. He believes NuCompass exists to add real value to its clients, proactively making their businesses and lives better through action, not talk.

Before joining NuCompass in 2010, Dave built a career defined by hustle and curiosity. He started in corporate banking, jumped into the dot-com era, fell in love with real estate, co-founded a couple of companies, and eventually brought that entrepreneurial mindset to NuCompass. He is especially proud of leading two companies during the great recession and steering NuCompass through the uncertainty of the pandemic years with resilience and clarity.

In his free time, Dave’s energy turns toward the mountains. Skiing and mountain biking bring him joy, whether it’s clocking days on the slopes, parlaying a work trip into a weekend in Zermatt, or riding through Moab. He is also a devoted financial planning nerd who loves budgets, future-focused thinking, cooking, and collecting (and drinking!) great wine.

Dave lives by the power of “and”: not this or that, but this AND that. Build and protect. Lead and listen. Push forward and stay grounded. Athletic, outdoorsy, and quietly gourmet, he shows up every day with the same commitment he expects from others. He has your back, and he wants the best from you, through actions that speak louder than words.

Frank Patitucci

Owner

Frank Patitucci

Frank is a co-owner of NuCompass and one of the guiding forces behind the company’s culture, stability, and long-term vision.

Frank’s professional career began in housing and community development. He served as the first Executive Director of the California Housing Finance Agency before moving into housing development and employer-supported housing initiatives in the San Francisco Bay Area. That work ultimately led him to employee mobility and the relocation industry.

With more than 40 years of experience across mobility and related fields, Frank is most proud of helping to build a company that combines long term customer satisfaction with long term employee satisfaction. NuCompass consistently receives very high customer satisfaction ratings from corporate clients and their relocating employees. At the same time NuCompass is a place where people enjoy their work and build their careers. Frank believes that these two outcomes are directly related. In a service business like relocation, your people determine your success.

While declining to call himself an exceptional leader, employees often seek Frank’s guidance because he listens, asks thoughtful questions, and focuses on aligning individual goals with the goals of the company. “When people are doing work they believe in, and working well together, the business takes care of itself.”

Frank’s approach to business is analytical, disciplined, and collaborative, focused on making thoughtful, well-informed decisions for the long term. In the shorter term he measures progress “one game at a time,” as his football coaches used to say. It is a mindset that has helped NuCompass become the company it is today.

Outside of work, Frank enjoys home improvement projects, tile design and glazing, collecting toy trains and California pottery, and following politics and economics. On his travel list, Italy holds a special place, especially Florence. Not a surprise that his favorite daily beverage is a cappuccino, dry, with sugar.

Frank holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also served three years as an officer in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps.

Serena Torvik

COO & General Counsel

Serena Torvik

Serena Patitucci Torvik is NuCompass’ COO and General Counsel, which means she is the person you want in the room when things get complicated. She has a rare talent for cutting straight through noise, identifying the real issue underneath the issue, and driving smart, decisive solutions that actually stick.

With 20 years in law and almost 20 in mobility, Serena brings deep operational knowledge, legal precision, and people-first leadership to everything she touches. She oversees Operations, Supplier Management, Business Process, and HR, while also serving as NuCompass’ in-house legal brain across all areas of the business. In short, she keeps the company running clean, compliant, and moving forward.

Serena’s roots at NuCompass run deep. She first worked at Relocation Consultants in the 1980s, long before tech platforms and dashboards, back when the job involved mass mailings, labels, and a lot of envelope licking. Today, she is a trusted leader to whom employees turn for clarity, guidance, and fast problem solving when the stakes are high.

Her approach is simple and effective. Find the truth at the center of the problem, then build the most efficient solution for everyone involved. That mindset shows up everywhere, at work, at home, and even in her daily crossword and Wordle routine, though she will be the first to admit that Friday’s crossword is a stretch.

Outside of work, Serena is a devoted mom, a lifelong reader, a sports superfan for her kids’ teams, a proud dog lover, and an unapologetic math and logic nerd. Her workday soundtrack changes often, but her philosophy does not. Show up sharp. Stay locked in. Make it a great day.

Douglas Fritz

Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration

Douglas Fritz

Douglas is Sr. VP of Finance and Administration at NuCompass, where he leads financial planning, analysis, and strategy, while also overseeing human resources. His job is to protect the company’s assets, but his real impact comes from understanding how the business works as he has seen nearly every part of it firsthand.

With 25 years at NuCompass and 25 in the industry, Douglas brings deep institutional knowledge, strong financial discipline, and a collaborative mindset to the executive team. He is known for turning complex problems into clean, logical models and for asking the kind of questions that help teams see the full picture before making decisions.

Douglas approaches problem solving with a simple philosophy. Everyone is a client in one way or another. Start there, stay empathetic, and good outcomes usually follow. That mindset has helped him guide NuCompass through challenging periods, earn a seat at the executive table, and lead the company through consecutive clean financial audits since stepping into senior finance leadership in 2016.

What motivates Douglas most is working alongside smart, kind, driven people and helping sustain a company that truly supports its employees. He takes pride in carrying forward the NuCompass legacy and making sure it stays strong, stable, and positioned for what comes next.

Outside of work, Douglas’ interests span a wide spectrum. He is a lifelong aviation and racing enthusiast with two full simulation rigs, one for flying and one for sim racing. He once practiced with Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen, who promptly ran him off the road and crashed him out. He also sings to his pets every morning, two dogs and two cats, with zero shame. A former bass player who once worked at Tower Records and rocked an aggressively European bleached-blond mullet, Douglas now spends his free time cooking, playing pickleball, and enjoying time with his wife.

Every day, Douglas shows up relaxed, clear, and empathetic. Persistent when it matters. Calm when it counts. And always ready for whatever comes next, because it could be good, or it could be bad.

Stephen is CTO at NuCompass, where he has led a full transformation of the company’s technology landscape since 2019. His role sits at the intersection of innovation and discipline, blending startup-level agility with the structure required to support a complex, global mobility organization.

Stephen is often described as the focal point of clarity. He has a rare ability to translate nuanced business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions that keep teams moving forward. Whether working with executives, engineers, or clients, his focus is always the same: “Understand what success truly looks like, then build toward it one step at a time.”

With seven years in mobility and more than 30 years across product development, logistics, and complex systems, Stephen brings deep experience in program management, system integration, data engineering, cybersecurity, and product strategy. Earlier in his career, he worked in high-stakes aerospace and maritime defense environments, including reconnaissance satellites and submarine-based systems, experiences that shaped his disciplined approach to execution and risk.

What motivates Stephen most is people. He takes personal ownership of his team’s growth, putting individuals in positions to stretch their skills and advance their careers. For clients, he approaches every challenge as a partnership, not an imposed solution, staying persistent until the outcome works in the real world.

Outside of NuCompass, Stephen is a minority owner of a tennis and swim club, where his operational guidance has helped more than double revenue. He is also deeply passionate about helping nonprofit organizations scale through better operational systems, allowing them to focus more fully on their missions. Weekly self-reflection is a non-negotiable habit, helping him course-correct quickly and stay aligned with his values.

Curious, humble, and relentlessly driven, Stephen lives by a simple philosophy: “One step at a time. Focus on the next right action, learn from it, and keep moving forward.” It is how he leads, how he builds, and how he helps NuCompass turn complexity into momentum.

Lorrie Kaiser

Lorrie is VP of Global Ops and Expense Management at NuCompass, and one of the company’s most consistent sources of energy, care, and results. She leads with positivity and enthusiasm and has a natural ability to turn challenges into opportunities for success.

With 30 years in relocation and over 20 years at NuCompass, Lorrie oversees Global Operations and Expense Management with a strong focus on accountability, employee engagement, and client satisfaction. She is known for building teams that deliver outstanding service, not by pushing harder, but by supporting people well. The results speak for themselves, and she is especially proud of the teams who continue to exceed expectations under her leadership.

Lorrie’s approach to problem solving starts with people: “Fix the person first, then the problem.” She listens closely, identifies root causes, collaborates on solutions, and takes action with intention. Whether working with clients or internal teams, her core goal is always the same, remove obstacles so others can succeed while building trust along the way.

She enjoys spending time with family, including the four-legged kind, decorating, baking during the holidays, and traveling. Bert Dodson

VP, Domestic Operations

Bert Dodson

Bert is VP of Domestic Ops at NuCompass, and one of the company’s true cornerstones. With nearly four decades in the relocation industry and almost three decades at NuCompass, Bert brings deep institutional knowledge, calm leadership, and an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing.

Bert’s career path says a lot about how he shows up. He started in accounts payable, worked his way through nearly every corner of the business, and earned his way into leadership by understanding relocation from the ground up. Today, he ensures domestic operations has the training, resources, and support needed to deliver exceptional service to transferees and clients, every single day.

What drives Bert has always been people. He finds real meaning in helping transferees navigate one of the most stressful transitions of their lives, and he still remembers the feeling of reading survey comments that spelled out just how much his guidance mattered. That sense of gratitude never wore off. It became the foundation of how he leads.

Bert’s approach is simple and steady. Listen with empathy. Diagnose the problem. Solve it quickly. Escalate when needed. Lead by example. He believes relocation is a team sport and that the best outcomes happen when everyone knows they can lean on each other.

Outside of work, Bert’s roots show. He grew up in a tiny town in South Georgia, population 287, including pets, and still values time spent off the grid. Each year, he heads to remote Canada with his dad and son, trading phones and electricity for fishing, quiet lakes, and the kind of stars you only see when the world fully powers down. Closer to home, you’ll find him fishing, staying active, or hanging out with his grandkids.

Kind, fun, and genuinely helpful, Bert shows up every day with the same guiding principle he’s followed his entire career. Do the right thing. Don’t sweat the small stuff. And always make sure the people around you feel supported.

VP, Client Relations

Scott Padgett

Scott is VP of Client Relations at NuCompass, and the person you want stepping in when situations get delicate. His philosophy is simple: get it done right, get it done fast, and make sure everyone walks away feeling heard and supported.

With more than 30 years in mobility and 20 years at NuCompass, Scott has built long-standing client relationships rooted in trust, consistency, and follow-through. In fact, many of the clients he took on when he first joined the company are still NuCompass partners today. That kind of loyalty does not happen by accident.

Scott is known for his ability to diffuse tension, ask the right questions, and zero in on the real issue before anyone points fingers. He leads with empathy, fairness, and the Golden Rule, treating every client and employee the way he would want his own family treated. When problems arise, his focus is never on blame; it is on finding a solution that actually works.

What motivates Scott is service, pure and simple. He genuinely believes companies can and should do better, especially after experiencing plenty of disappointing service in his own life. His goal is for every client and employee interaction to end with the same thought: “Wow. I wish every company worked like this.”

Outside of work, Scott lives in Arkansas, which often sparks curious reactions and the occasional “Did you choose that?” question. He is a passionate guitar player, a devoted NFL fan, and a lifelong lover of rock music, which his wife insists occupies most of his brain space. He also enjoys reading non-fiction, traveling to Italy whenever possible, and unwinding with a well-timed episode of Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Productive, happy, and funny on his best days, Scott shows up every day ready to do his best, because showing up is half the battle, and giving less than your best is never an option.

Brandy Cooper

Brandy Cooper is VP of Sales and Marketing at NuCompass, where she leads brand positioning, product strategy, and executive-level growth initiatives with equal parts discipline and imagination. She believes in accountability, the power of the collective, and the idea that nothing great gets built in a silo.

With more than 20 years in mobility, Brandy brings a sharp understanding of policy design, data analysis, and the full mobility ecosystem. She has a knack for seeing what clients need before they know how to ask for it, then helping them find the language, confidence, and strategy to move their programs forward. Her approach to problem solving starts big, explores every angle, and then narrows into focused, practical execution.

Before joining NuCompass, Brandy worked across multiple relocation management companies and even spent time in the nonprofit world, helping formerly incarcerated individuals access education through the community college system. Those experiences shaped how she thinks about advocacy, structure, and impact, and they continue to influence how she builds programs and leads teams today.

A Word from Our Founder

Frank Patitucci

Frank built NuCompass with a simple belief: “Where people live matters just as much as where they work.” With a background in housing and community development, his approach to employee relocation has always balanced big-picture thinking with practical execution. From the start, NuCompass was designed to truly understand challenges, use data and technology to inform decisions, listen closely to those impacted, and adapt as conditions change. That mindset has helped the company evolve alongside the industry for six decades, pairing innovation with experience and progress with purpose.

At its core, NuCompass is a people-driven service business, powered by smart, intentional technology. Frank has long believed that great outcomes happen when talented people are supported by the right tools and aligned around a shared mission. One of the clearest signs of that culture is NuCompass’ unusually high employee return rate, proof that this is a place where careers are built, not just jobs filled. While Frank is careful about using the word “family” in business, he acknowledges that NuCompass comes very close, a company defined by trust, collaboration, and a commitment to moving people forward, one step and one move at a time.
